I am a critic and write mostly about photographs. I have thirty years of expertise and have worked with all sorts of influential institutions and artists .
I am one of the founders of the Prix Pictet and still very involved with that. I was head of the Print Room at the London Photographers’ Gallery and head of the photography department at Sotheby’s. I started the Photographic Collections Network, which is an Arts Council-funded Subject Specialist Network. I also founded the talks programme which accompanies the PhotoLondon art fair.
I am an educator, a writer, and an art adviser. I advise on many aspects of collections (public and private).
